At Le Minor,
The entire knitting process is handled from start to finish: within the walls of the Guidel workshop, the cotton and wool yarns undergo every stage of production to become… sweaters and striped shirts.
The tour takes you through every stage of production in a century-old workshop: circular and flat knitting, steaming the knit fabric, manual cutting, re-knitting, and finally, assembly.
Come visit our workshop and discover clothing made entirely in Brittany.

Le Minor earns the label "Destination of Excellence"
Le Minor has just been awarded the government’s “Destination d’Excellence” certification, which recognizes the quality of its hospitality and its commitment to more responsible tourism.
Initiated in 2024, the certification process involved rigorous standards and many months of work. It recognizes Le Minor’s efforts to continuously improve the visitor experience: the quality of the welcome, the tour itinerary, the promotion of craftsmanship, the accessibility of the offerings, and consideration of environmental issues.
This recognition marks a new milestone in the development of craft-focused tourism at Le Minor. With more than 10,000 visitors now passing through the doors of the Guidel factory each year, the company aims to make exploring its workshops a powerful tool for promoting its brand—not only in Brittany and France but also among international visitors.
Still relatively rare in craft-based tourism, the “Destination d’Excellence” designation positions Le Minor among the pioneering companies in this field, with one ambition: to demonstrate that a visit to a French workshop can meet the same standards of quality, hospitality, and environmental responsibility as major tourist destinations.
As an “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company) and now a “Destination d’Excellence,” Le Minor views these recognitions not as an end in themselves but as confirmation of a single approach: preserving craftsmanship by raising awareness of it, and using the opening of its workshops as a means to pass on this heritage and expand its reach.
This initiative is also part of Le Minor’s commitment to the Réseau Excellence, which brings together companies certified as “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant.”
